Njiklik started with a simple goal: make food delivery work properly in Albania. When the founders came to AnyOS in 2021, the Albanian market had no dominant player - just fragmented phone ordering, unreliable delivery, and zero real-time tracking.
AnyOS built the entire ecosystem from scratch. Three separate React Native apps - one for customers, one for restaurant and store partners, one for delivery drivers - all connected to a single Laravel backend that handles orders, routing, inventory, and payments in real time.
Four years later, Njiklik is the number one food delivery platform in Albania. It has become the default way Albanians order food - the name itself has become synonymous with food delivery in the country, much like how "Swiggy" or "Zomato" defines the category in India.
The platform has continued to grow with regular updates, new restaurant partners onboarded, and expanded delivery coverage across Albanian cities. The Laravel backend handles peak-hour order spikes reliably, and the React Native apps are maintained and updated consistently across both iOS and Android.
The Problem: No Reliable Food Delivery Infrastructure in Albania
In 2021, Albania had no dominant food delivery app. Restaurants took orders by phone, delivery was informal, and customers had no way to track their order, pay online, or browse menus digitally. The opportunity was real but the execution had to cover all three sides of the marketplace simultaneously - customers, restaurants, and drivers - from day one.
The Solution: A Full Three-Sided Marketplace, Built from Scratch
AnyOS designed and built three separate React Native applications - a customer-facing ordering app with real-time order tracking, a restaurant/store partner app for managing menus, accepting orders, and updating availability, and a driver app with route navigation and delivery confirmation. All three apps run on a shared Laravel backend with WebSocket-powered real-time order status updates. Bootstrap was used for the admin dashboard that allows the Njiklik team to manage the entire platform - restaurants, drivers, promotions, and payouts - from a single panel.
The Outcome: #1 in Albania Since 2021
Njiklik became the number one food delivery app in Albania and has held that position since launch. The app has been live for 4+ years with consistent updates, zero platform rewrites, and a growing restaurant partner network across Albanian cities. The name Njiklik has become a cultural shorthand for food delivery in Albania - a mark of a product that genuinely took over its market.
